Journalista: 'Ahem, yes well, let's turn to you and what you're doing here on the Kalifornian front.'
Merc shrugs Gallicly, takes another drag and lets it out: 'Cascadian gold spends as well as anyone else's'
J: 'But your unit, Legion Degrelle, they are Catholic are they not? Why not hire on with the Atlanticans?'
M: 'Non. Doesn't matter if Rome says we are one happy family now. My people, they are French and Belgians, some Germans, and recusant beef eaters, no-no, we remember.'
J: 'And how has the fighting been, here in Kalifornia?'
M: 'Good fighting, hard going. We had 'em on the run at first, no sport at all, sad. Then the Kalis hired some bio-reservists from your Midwest, the Weremen from Montana, good fighters, made us work for our pay.'
